Beginning October 1, 2026, Bon Accord will be part of the regional waste collection program administered by Roseridge Waste Management Commission. For residents, very little is changing. Your collection days, carts and collection contractor will remain the same. The main change is who you contact when you need help. Beginning October 1, Roseridge will be your single point of contact for garbage and organics collection service.
Collection Schedule
Every homeowner is provided with 2 totes, 1 for household waste (black) and 1 for organic material (green). To ensure your waste and recycling is picked up, please ensure your tote(s) and blue bag are curbside by 7 a.m. on collection day.

Organics
Food scraps and approved yard and garden material belong in your green organics cart.
A simple rule to remember: If it doesn’t grow, it doesn’t go.
Recycling
Residential recycling continues separately under Alberta’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system and is not part of the Roseridge regional garbage and organics collection program.
Cart Placement
Proper cart placement helps ensure your garbage and organics can be collected safely.
Spring through Fall, Bon Accord residents may access the Lagoon Site. Located south of highway 28 near the Bon Accord solar farm, this site is provided as a courtesy for disposal of trees and branches. Please contact the Public Works on-call phone number at 780-975-0770 to to make arrangements for access during regular business hours.
Bon Accord is a member of the Roseridge Waste Management Services Commission. Roseridge Waste Management Center is located west of Highway 28 on Highway 642, ½ mile south on Range Road 251.

A Roseridge Waste Disposal Permit is required to use the facility. Permits are issued to property owners by the Town of Bon Accord upon request.
