Where Your Municipal Property Taxes Go

Town of Bon Accord Council has approved the 2026 Operating & Capital Budget and the 2026 Taxation Bylaw.

The infographic on this page shows how the municipal tax levy is distributed based on an average assessment value, and highlights where your property tax dollars are invested to support community services, programs, infrastructure, and the continued growth of our community.

Did you know? The town collects and then transfers all monies received for Provincial Seniors' Housing and Provincial Education Tax to the Government of Alberta. These funds are collected on the province's behalf for services that benefit all Albertans like our local Homeland Housing for seniors and Sturgeon School Division.
