Property taxes are collected annually from both residential and non-residential properties. The Combined Assessment and Property Tax Notice is mailed the beginning of May each year. Property taxes are due June 30 each year, unless you are enrolled in the Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP). See below for additional information regarding the TIPP and the application form.
Your property taxes include a Municipal Tax, an Education Tax and a Seniors Foundation Tax. The Education Tax and Seniors Foundation Tax are set by the Government of Alberta, collected by the Town of Bon Accord and then remitted directly to the province. For additional information on Education Property Tax visit the Government of Alberta website.

We offer a Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) that allows property owners to pay their property taxes in monthly installments rather than a single payment, making the payment of taxes more manageable. Residents must apply by January 8 to be considered for the current year taxes. If you purchase a new home after this date and wish to take part in the TIPP program please contact the Town Office at 780-921-3550 for additional information.
