Electronic Highway Sign Retirement and Removal

Please be advised the commercial electronic highway sign located at 4706 51 Street (old liquor store location) in Bon Accord has reached the end of its lifetime and is anticipated to be decommissioned and removed by the end of May 2025.

The sign was first installed in 2015. The quality of the sign has diminished over the last few years and it is now being retired. As this sign is on private property, the removal was requested to allow full use of the property for new development that is currently in progress.

“Out with the old and in with the new. The retirement of the sign is a sign in itself. A sign of progress that brings renewed excitement as the Town of Bon Accord moves forward in a positive direction.”
