Leaders In Training (LIT)
Are you a youth looking to build leadership skills and gain real-world experience in a fun and supportive environment? The Leaders in Training (LIT) program is designed to empower and educate young individuals through hands-on opportunities that develop essential life and career skills.
The Town of Bon Accord is looking for passionate, friendly individuals to assist with the Summer Day Camp program. Successful LIT participants may also have the chance to stay on as regular community volunteers beyond the summer.

As a participant, you’ll:
- Grow your leadership and teamwork abilities
- Improve communication and citizenship skills
- Take part in engaging activities and field trips
- Learn about community involvement and employability
- Have fun while making a difference!
Requirements:
- Must be between the ages of 12-17
- Available to start work at 8:00am and finish at 4:00pm
- Available 2-3 days/week
- Youth wishing to participate as a Leader in Training must apply.
- Applicants must be available for mandatory interview and orientation session.
- Participants who complete 35 hours of volunteering will receive a certificate of completion and a reference letter.
- Dress in appropriate attire for trips to the park, arts and crafts and sports.
- Have parental/guardian permission to participate.
- Understand that this is a volunteer-based role.
