The Great Sunflower Showdown

Judging day for the Great Sunflower Showdown is Sat, September 12 between 8:30AM and 10AM. The judges will knock on your door upon arrival. 

 

IMPORTANT: All participants who signed up MUST respond to Christina's email by Tuesday, September 8 to confirm which category below you would like to enter or your flower will not be judged.

CATEGORIES:

Tallest Sunflower Plant 

- Will be measured from the base of the stem (not including the roots) to the top of the head. 

- The flower head will be extended upright for accurate height. 

Biggest Sunflower Head

- Measured as the diameter of the seed head (petals will not be included in the measurement). 

Most Blooms on a Single Stalk

- All the individual blooms, including unopened heads, on one stalk, will be counted.
