PUBLIC NOTICE: 50th Ave Road Reconstruction

50^th Ave between 53^rd Street and 56^th Street (Parkside) Road Reconstruction

The Town would like to bring to your attention that 50^th Avenue between 53^rd Street and 56^th Street is being reconstructed to repair the road base and provide a new asphalt surface. This project will require a full depth reclamation over the entire area which means the road will be dug out and the base rebuilt so base stability is restored.

This work is expected to start soon. When a confirmed schedule is available, notices will be sent to all affected residents. Every effort is being made to give residents as much notice as possible. This work will be completed in stages so that the full closure of the road during construction can be avoided whenever possible. The project is anticipated to take 2 – 3 weeks to complete, weather-dependent.

The Town realizes there will be road areas closed at times, leading to limited access to residential properties. Due to the layout of the road and no adjacent alleys, parking directly in front of homes may be limited or unavailable during construction. Sidewalks will remain open and accessible on both sides of the avenue during the entire project.
