November's Rooted in Wellness: Community Dinner

Join us for a warm and welcoming Community Dinner—a chance to enjoy a hearty meal, meet your neighbours, and build meaningful connections in our community. After dinner, stick around for an informative presentation from Kim Mills, RSW. This talk will focus on understanding what “capacity” looks like in real life — how to recognize when we are reaching our limits, what early warning signs show up in our bodies, emotions, and behaviour, and how stress can quietly build before we even notice it. We will explore practical ways to notice these signs earlier and make small, realistic adjustments to reduce overwhelm and prevent burnout. This isn’t just about the big picture or long-term stress, but also about everyday moments — the times when we are tired, overloaded, or reactive, and when stress can most easily shape our words, choices, and relationships with the people closest to us. The goal is not perfection, but awareness, shared understanding, and tools that can support healthier communication and decision-making in daily life.
